Get to the Pointe

If you don't like to look at feet...not sure why you're here. But if you REALLY don't like to look at deformed feet - you may need to approach this video with caution. In this video, Josephine watched an episode of TLC's series, My Feet Hurt, that highlights a ballerina.  This is the stuff of parents' nightmares when their kids are put onto pointe. The dancer in this video has MAJOR bunions, medically known as hallus valgus. To be clear: properly fit pointe shoes do NOT cause bunions.  How will Josephine react? It's a little trippy to look at!

Ooh la la! Are you ready to get *fancy*? This week, Josephine watched Fancy Nancy from Disney Junior. Originally a popular children's book by Jane O'Connor, the show follows 6 year old Nancy Clancy who enjoys all things fancy. One of those fancy things, is of course, ballet! Can Josephine handle all the fanciness? We had to give her a costume to get in character of course ;)

This was our holiday gift to you <3 (Two Tik Tok reactions this month :) As the year comes to a close, we reflect on the ballet internet we've seen. From the ever increasing threat of cups, dead pointe shoes, and confusing content - it's been a good one. Not sure how we ended up here...but here we are. A little while ago, our producer was tagged in an Instagram ad for a ballet video game. After looking at it once, she tried to go back to it & it had disappeared! So she scoured the App store for a ballet game, and found Ballerina Life 3D. The graphics look identical to the first ad she saw, but the name had been changed. Not sure why or what happened, but as least we found it. And then, Josephine got to play. She got to level 8; our producer had...

"My toxic trait is that I can only look at feet while watching ballet." Yup. That about sums it up. Santa's been in communication with us, and we know y'all want more Barbie content! We're working on it for the new year, but for now - here's the grand pas from the first ever Barbie movie. Since this movie was released Barbie of Swan Lake (the first Barbie ballet movie Josephine reacted to), the animation and graphics are a little less realistic.
