Get to the Pointe — chinese circus

How do you define artistry?  The internet has LOVED seeing a more circus-y take on ballet and pointe shoes. However, some claim that it's just tricks and acrobatics, and not art. Is it possible for both to exist at the same time?  In this reaction, Josephine looks at more content of this sort of genre and brings this discussion up. What do you think?

  This week, Josephine reacts to a video of the Great Chinese State Circus from 2008. Although the quality of the video is old, the talent is timeless.  The performance starts off pretty normal, with an excerpt from Swan Lake. The corps de ballet - or corps de circus in this case - is beautiful, with some pretty awesome feathered tutus.  And then the acrobatics begin.  All we can say is that we're impressed. Josephine is VERY impressed. You'll have to watch the video to see why ;)
