Get to the Pointe — Pointe Shoe Fitter Reacts

This week, we're finally fulfilling a fan-favorite - the animated ballet movie, Leap!  In this video, Josephine watched and reacted to the final dance battle scene of this fun and heart touching kids' movie. Ballet doesn't tend to have 'dance battles' like other dance styles do, but if they do, we sure hope they are as thrilling as this movie! Have you watched Leap? Do you like it?  Claudia Dean & Wish pointe shoes?! One of our favorites with one of our...least favorites (lol). In this week's video, Josephine witnesses Claudia & her friend Ailysh as they unbox and try of 4 PAIRS of Wish pointe shoes!   As a special bonus video, Josephine Lee and Kathryn Morgan judge ballet variations! Think Olympics commentary, but make it ballet. While participants of the Youth American Grand Prix rehearsed the variations they were going to compete, Kathryn offered great dancing insight, while Josephine commented on pointe shoes. They were blown away by the talent and poise in the studio - especially after 2 years of dancing online! This week, Josephine got to watch a beautifully produced video by the Australian Ballet!  "En Pointe Obstacle Course" was specially crafted with soloist Nicola Curry & dancers of the company. What at first appears to be a challenge video actually turns out to be beautifully choreographed piece that interact with customized set pieces in a warehouse.  Curry was a dancer with American Ballet Theater for 10 years before joining Australian Ballet for 7 years. In February 2022, she announced that this season would be her last with Australian Ballet, and that she was retiring from ballet.  Although she will be missed...
