Get to the Pointe — ballerina

After many moons & many comments, it's finally here: Pointe shoe fitter reacts to rhythmic gymnastics! We love that ballet can cross over into many disciplines. One of the most obvious and daring is rhythmic gymnastics. According to Wikipedia, and unlike its better known counter part, artistic gymnastics, "Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon and rope." Ballet is so beautiful, so ethereal, so....challenging! And with great challenge comes great success...and failure. There's no way to achieve greatness without so much practice, and trial and error. And sometimes error can be hilarious! In a world that can seem hypercompetitve and stressful, it's healthy to be able to laugh at yourself. Even better when you can share the giggles with everyone! How do you define artistry?  The internet has LOVED seeing a more circus-y take on ballet and pointe shoes. However, some claim that it's just tricks and acrobatics, and not art.
