Josephine talks about the newest version of Nikolay’s 2007/Allure, DreamPointe!
The DreamPointe, based on the 2007/Allure last is the newest version of this shoe that came out a long time ago!
With a slightly tapered box made with natural materials, the DreamPointe features a shank made with synthetic materials that can make the pointe shoe last up to 3-4 times longer than a traditional shoe.
In addition to the thermo-formable shank, the DreamPointe also is slightly more generous across the metatarsal than the 2007/Allure, and contains a slightly wider platform, making it an easier shoe to balance on.
Adding on to the design of the 2007/Allure, the DreamPointe has additional soft material in the insole and box to increase comfort as well as a ¾ pre-arch in the shank that can help with getting over the platform in the pointe shoes.
The DreamPointe has sizes ranging from 0.5-8.5 and widths ranging from 1-5 X. The vamp starts out relatively shorter for the smaller sizes and becomes a lot longer within the larger sizes.
This pointe shoe from Nikolay has a low profile box but high heel and waist seam in addition to a U-shaped throat and elastic drawstring. The DreamPointe also contains extra padding at the edge of the platform for quieter landing.
