We went back in time to the 2022 YAGP Finals in Tampa, Florida! In this video, Josephine got to meet and for the Junior Division's 2nd place winner, Yerin Ok. Yerin is from the Korean Division of Youth Grand Prix, YGP. While chatting with this gorgeous dancer, Josephine got to see her rehearsal and performance shoes. They're actually the same brand, size, and shank - just a slight difference between models.  For rehearsal, Yerin wears the Maya. For performance, she wears the Maya Pro. "There's a pole. There's a POLE! I know where we're going with this!" The title pretty much says it all.  This week, Josephine reacted to *beautiful* dancer Elena Gibson. According to her Wikipedia page, Gibson trained in classical ballet at Canada's National Ballet School as a young dancer. She danced professionally with the National Ballet of Canada & Bavarian State Ballet in Germany as well. In 2000, Gibson suffered injury in a car accident, forcing her to retire from her professional ballet career. June is Pride Month, so we started the celebration strong with having Josephine react to Lady Camden! In case you don't know, Lady Camden was the runner-up on season 14 of RuPaul's Drag Race. She's British, fabulous & walked away with a $50,000 cash prize.  Rex Wheeler was born in Camden Town, London, England. He trained with Royal Ballet, then danced for the Slovak National Ballet. This week, we join Josephine back in Tampa, FL at YAGP Finals. And she's doing something a little different - discussing demi pointe shoes. Although it is not common in the U.S.A., demi pointe shoes are an intermediary shoe for students preparing for pointe. The outer construction looks pointe shoe like, but there is much less paste in the shoe overall than a pointe shoe, and no shank. Demi pointe shoes are meant only for practice at the barre, for feet and ankle exercises. Demi pointe shoes should NOT be worn in center because there is simply not enough support...

This week, Josephine takes a look another dive into the ballet internet: Instagram Reels edition. We've been loving the Tik Toks everyone's been tagging us in, but we also couldn't ignore reels! In our very first Tik Tok reaction video, Josephine reacted to Dr. Mike reacting to some intense knuckle stands (and jumps yikes). There were a few comments that mentioned a cultural dance associated with this - and Instagram algorithm has delivered.  How did Josephine react?
