Josephine shares her true thoughts on the Bloch Heritage!
The Heritage is one of Bloch’s most popular models of pointe shoes, featuring one of their most tapered boxes while still maintaining a medium sized platform that is stable and easy to balance on.
The Heritage is made on a slightly curved last but is not quite as curved as other Bloch models, such as the European Balance. This pointe shoe has a full shank that is available in both a regular and strong strengths.
The Heritage has sizes ranging from a 2-9 and widths ranging from 0-4 X.
This pointe shoe features one of the shortest vamps in the pointe shoe market, making it a great fit for short toes. In combination with the high waist and heel seam, the Heritage also allows you to articulate and roll through your demi-pointe without the heel falling off or vamp cutting into your foot.
The throat of the Heritage contains a cotton drawstring and v-shaped vamp allowing the shape of the foot to be elongated even with the length of the vamp being short.
Within the past few years Bloch has adjusted the toe cushion within the inside of the box to be removable so that dancers have the option whether or not to keep it in their pointe shoes. The box also contains slight noise reduction under the pleats.
Over all the Bloch Heritage is a comfortable and versatile shoe that has the capability to work for a variety of dancers.
