With the rise of balletcore in the fashion industry, there has been a new wave of adults either trying ballet for the first time or going back to a childhood passion.
Is this a good thing?
Um, yes - OF COURSE!
Not only do adults have financial capability to pay for their classes & dance costs, feeding the entire industry as a whole, but they very much want to be there.
Whereas being put in a baby ballet class may be a rite of passage of early girlhood, there's no denying that there are some kids who get put into ballet/dance even if they don't really want to be there.
Apologies for the click-bait title - but of course we LOVE adults in ballet. It can be a way back to yourself, and ballet is good for your body as a form of physical exercise.
Are you an adult in ballet? What makes you go back?
